About the Programme

It is widely recognised that speaking to groups and audiences is one of the most difficult tasks to accomplish with distinction; yet it is one of the most commonly used methods of communication in the business world. This course is for everyone who wants to improve his / her presentation skills. The number of delegates is usually limited to eight to allow time for individual guidance and help from the course tutor. Recordings play a key role in this programme and are used for practice sessions, and for giving highly constructive feedback.

Practical work will include:
Short presentations from each delegate. Some of these will be recorded on DVD and played back for analysis, etc. Pre-course work is mandatory for this training, as there is restricted time to prepare the presentations during the programme.

Before the course each delegate will be asked to complete a Pre-Course Briefing Form to determine their individual objectives for attending the course. These objectives will be used by the tutor to give on-target training that is focused on the individual delegates.

At the end of the course each delegate will be asked to complete a Personal Development Plan that can be used as part of future appraisals and that will also be an important tool for management reference.
