During the course each delegate will be required to complete a major exercise worksheet which relates to dealing with the issue of a bridge. The exercise will relate to: - Identifying risks related to the current bridge
- Event management related to the collapse of the current bridge
- Recovery plan for the collapse of the current bridge
- Identify risks related to the construction of the new bridge
- Three higher order risks related to the new bridge construction and their treatment plans (recorded in a risk register) related to the construction of the new bridge
- Event management and recovery plans should the new bridge collapse

Before the course each delegate will be asked to complete a Pre-Course Briefing Form to determine their individual objectives for attending the course. These objectives will be used by the tutor to give on-target training that is focused on the individual delegates.
At the end of the course each delegate will be asked to complete a Personal Development Plan that can be used as part of future appraisals and that will also be an important tool for management reference.
